But for those looking for the more special markets, keep reading, as Sportsbert have some fun and exciting markets open to punters looking to wager on this weekend’s action!
Going into Round 5 as the side most likely to emerge as the lowest scoring team is Richmond at $4.50.
Away to Fremantle on Sunday evening, the Tigers have not yet won a match and have a tough match against Freo who are likely to limit scoring for Richmond who may well be a safe bet for the market.
Last week’s lowest scorers were the Crows and are second in the odds to the Tigers at $6.
In contrast, Fremantle are favourites to be the highest scoring side for the weekend at $3.25 – a safe bet considering the lead up form for both teams.
The Bulldogs are relatively close in the market at $3.85, and facing the Crows could be another worthy wager.
Once again, Gary Ablett is the player most likely to claim the most possessions for the round with odds of $4. The Geelong superstar is certainly dependable and is constantly up there in the statistics.
Dane Swan is another contender at $9 for Collingwood having been impressive so far this season.
The Saints’ Barry Hall is leading the market as the player to emerge from Round 5 as the leading goal kicker at $4.75 with the in-form Jonathan Brown close behind at $5 for the Brisbane Lions.
One of the more popular markets over Round 5 is the pick four combination offering punters a market to select four winners over either the Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday matches.
Currently the safest bet for the Friday/Saturday games is the combination of a Western Bulldogs, Sydney, St Kilda and Brisbane Lions win at $2.25, while over Sunday/Monday the combination of Collingwood, Hawthorn, Fremantle and Geelong is the safest at $2.15.
