AFL Round 19 – Fixtures, Previews & Betting

This weekend we head into round 19 of the 2010 AFL Season which means there are just a few short weeks until the end of the regular season – and of course the finals.

Last weekend saw a huge upset when St Kilda lost to Essendon which opened things up at the top of the ladder. So if you can pick out the upset this weekend head to as the odds can certainly pay well.

Round 19 bounces off this weekend with Essendon welcoming Carlton to the MCG, and what an opener after the Bombers surprised all last weekend. The Blues were slammed by Collingwood, so it will be interesting to see how both sides respond to their respective results.

Of the eight fixtures going ahead this weekend, one stands out loud and clear for AFL fans around the country, and that is Saturday night’s blockbuster between Geelong and Collingwood. Games between the top two sides on the ladder never fail to disappoint and as the duo are undoubtedly the strongest teams this season it is hard to pick a winner.

A match where punters could earn a bit of extra cash is Sunday afternoon’s game between St Kilda and Port Adelaide. The Saints will be looking to rectify last rounds slip up, but the Power will have other plans in mind as they hope to make it two upsets in a row after beating Hawthorn last weekend.
