There are only two weeks left in the 2013 AFL Regular season and the final eight is almost locked up but a number of clubs still have plenty left to play for. The major game this weekend sees the Sydney Swans travel to Simmonds Stadium to take on the in-form Geelong Cats with the winner set to claim a top two finish.
Geelong return to their home ground on the back of two straight wins and are clear favourites to continue their excellent record at Simmonds Stadium. The Cats have not lost at home in the last eighteen months and have had the better of the Swans in recent years.
Sydney bounced back from their loss to the Collingwood Magpies last fortnight with an impressive win against the St Kilda Saints at the SCG. The Swans have struggled with injuries in the last month but their team should be back to full strength for another charge at the AFL Finals. They will need to overcome a poor record in Geelong and shutdown the impressive Cats midfield if they are going to be successful on Saturday.
The Geelong Cats are nearly unbeatable at Simmonds Stadium and should be able to take care of the Swans who will be hoping to peak for the finals. Online bookmakers currently have the spread at fourteen and a half points, which looks like being an excellent betting play.
