The Carlton Blues had a mediocre 2008 season. It included some major highs for the team as they defeated rivals Collingwood in round 4 to snap a 14 game losing streak against the Magpies. They followed this up with a second win against their rivals in round 14. They also had a massive comeback victory against Port Adelaide in round 11 in which they overcame a 30-point deficit to grab a victory. They finished the season inside the Top 8, but unfortunately went on to lose in the opening round of the Finals.
